Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed in India
The Crown prince of Abu Dhabi and leader of UAE is coming to India for a three day visit. This would be an important occasion for strengthening ties between the two nations. A few months earlier when PM Modi had visited the UAE it was seen as a historical visit. The visit by Sheikh Mohammed would be another step furthering the same sentiment. No doubt both the countries share the basic view of taking relations ahead based on friendship and peace. Any Co operation to take this thought to action is welcome and important. India and UAE are against terrorism and fundamentalism which need to be tackled jointly and both the nations can play an important role in this creating solid difference for the better. The progress and the infrastructure of UAE can be very helpful in the development of India. The expertise of UAE in bussiness and trade is an example for the world. With all this is the important fact of lakhs of Indians in UAE who see that country as their means of bread and livelihood. The govt of UAE and the people have given the Indians there a home and the feeling of being welcome. Being in a foreign land these people are still connected to their roots. This is the greatness of the Emirates govt and system that allows the foreigners to feel as loved and cared for in the area.
Relations with the UAE will prove helpful in dealings with the other Gulf nations. India has had very good relations with Arab nations but to further them and take them forward a via media can be helpful which will be easier with the friendship between India and UAE. A lot can be achieved from the Emirates for investment and development of infrastructure in India. Earlier the Emirati investments have helped and now this can be expanded and taken to a new stage. Besides being mutually beneficial the freindship between India and UAE will help in regional betterment and its base. Whether it is Middle East or South Asia both have their problems and issues, which affect both the nations in their own ways. For the solution to these problems relations between India and UAE are helpful and necessary.
